Gandía is like a mini Benidorm – it takes some nerve just to find space for a towel in summertime, so don’t even think about kiting or windsurfing! The thermal’s usually so weak it’s not worth bothering with anyway, apart from beginners. But if you catch a rare Levante or strong thermal, you can launch from the windsurfing school at the northern end of town. The towel density decreases significantly there too!
