'Playa de la Jara' gets very narrow at high tide so is mainly a popular windsurf spot in Poniente. It’s then freeride close to shore or jumping further out in waves rolling into the rivermouth. There's much more room inside the shipping lane than at 'Sanlúcar', yet you still need good timing to avoid the fate of the run-aground rice freighter – at low water you'll soon hit the rocky seabed.
