Haringvlietdam
Zuid Holland
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
The Haringvlietdam has been protecting Holland from North Sea flooding since 1971. There’s shelter from west to north-westerly storms behind the dyke at the northern corner of the brackish Haringvliet, but it's most popular when the wind turns offshore at North Sea launches in east to south-easterlies. Just don’t go out too far as the currents can be chaotic near the dam’s 17 locks. Access is via the N57 towards 'Hellevoetsluis’, then follow signs to 'Quackstrand’.
