Wile you can’t ride straight in front of Mont Saint-Michel, at least you're in the same bay at Hirel. The beach is almost too shallow so can only be ridden within two hours of high tide, but the summer thermal is much stronger here than anywhere else nearby. It's bolt onshore, but there's enough space not to create wind buffer. In easterly winds everyone heads about 5km west to 'Les Nieles'.
