Hove Lagoon

This man-made lagoon boasts a busy watersports centre that's introduced hundreds of beginners to the noble art of windsurfing. Their wakeboard cable offers good practice for kiters if there's no wind, and is occasionally used by pro freestylers for tow-in windsurfing. With top-of-the-range kit for hire and full safety cover, the beachside is a great place for intermediates to get onto the open sea. And when conditions are right – ideally a westerly wind after a few days of south-westerlies – there’s some nice waveriding too.
