In contrast to the natural spectacle of Sotavento’s sand-dunes, hotel complexes and sun-loungers rule here. Passat blows much weaker too, so Jandia's regulars mainly consist of surfers and swimmers. But if the wind blows easterly in winter or stormy southerly weather blasts the sunbathers off the beach, it goes off cross-shore at the lighthouse in front of 'Cruz Roja’. Just be careful around high tide when the waves close-out.
