Jaywick
Thames Estuary
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
Much loved by the local kiters, Clacton is probably the best spot in Essex. Sandy bays formed by fishtail groynes produce good jumping conditions at high tide, and shallow flat water at low. There are plenty of launches around West Beach, south-west of the pier, but riders tend to congregate on the green by the Martello Tower. Strong south-westerly winds produce good bump-&-jump conditions with a moderate shorebreak at high tide, while a strong north-easterly can even deliver some waveriding – best from mid to high tide on the push. There's often cleaner wind and less crowding further west towards Jaywick.
