Jinamar is Gran Canaria's new kite venue – a local favourite if the wind’s too northerly for 'Vargas' or it’s already nuking above 40 knots in 'Pozo', as the wind's always much weaker here. But this place is still tough: the bay is tiny (it gets crowded with just five people) and it’s flanked by sharp rocks downwind, where a fierce current pulls out to sea – any errors can result in real trouble.
