Kersidan

If the west coast swell gets too heavy, this croissant-shaped sandy beach is a popular option – even if not, Kersidan is still one of the region’s top kiting locations. There's a little shorebreak at high water, but that's also when the best waves form. In less wind there’s usually only enough for freeride. Intermediates, experts, kiters and surfers make up an eclectic clientele. Which could be down to the facilities: parking, wooden huts for shelter, grass for rigging, as well as a bar / restaurant and campsite just around the corner. The only problem is kiting's banned in high summer.
