Kijkduin has blossomed into a top venue – all thanks to the 'Sand Motor', a vast sandbank that's been sucked up off the seabed and dumped close to shore to protect the coastal strip. This creates a double spot with a speedstrip downwind of the 'Zandmotor' and a classy break at the point. The only problem being that the constantly moving sandbars can throw up the odd surprise!
