Kite Beach, Alaçati
Turkish Aegean Sea
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
Although it's just a kilometre as the crow flies, it takes 20 minutes to drive to Alaçati's official kite beach. It only works in north to north-westerly, as north-east (Gerence) is too gusty. The safest place to launch and land is this inlet on the otherwise rocky shoreline. The bay has a sandy bottom, but shoes are recommended for the beach. It gets very busy with kite-school students in summertime – there's more room further upwind, but also sea urchins in the shallows.
