Along with 'El Palmar' and 'Conil', La Ballena is among this region’s most popular surf-spots. On the rare day that swell coincides with enough Levante wind, it offers perfect frontside riding conditions too. Best on the last day of Levante, as it veers cross-off south-easterly with an approaching low-pressure. Expert kiters only. You can get out here in Poniente too, although the beach-break gets really chaotic.
