La Boulangerie, Sangatte

Nord-Pas-de-Calais

Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:

The cape effect often supplies even more southwesterly wind to Sangatte than to its renowned neighbour at Cap Blanc-Nez. Other advantages: More consistent wind, hardly any current (except at high tide in the breaker area!) and fewer crowds on the water. But the waves are smaller and only get good at high tide. Be on high alert: The countless rows of wooden pylons close to shore considerably limit the play area! You can choose from three launches: Le Radar, close to the radar station (with an RV-friendly parking area), La Boulangerie in the middle of the village (largest waves here, but parking only along the sidewalks) and La Descenderie at the village exit. Parking is even harder there; the only alternative to parking along the sidewalk is the close by cemetery parking.

Der Kap-Effekt beschert Sangatte häufig noch mehr SW als dem bekannten Nachbarn am Cap Blanc-Nez.
