Just west of the Giens peninsula, there's a 'secret spot' only 200m off the main road. La Californie sometimes hosts a clean reef-break, but it's so close inshore that it's largely in wind shadow. Plus it’s hard to find, and then there's almost nowhere to park. To sail to the break, look out for the rust-red fishing huts.
