La Coudoulière

The wind blows a notch stronger in Coudou and arrives earlier than 'Brutal Beach'. Northerly Mistral is gusty here too; cross-on north-westerly is ideal, westerly’s onshore. Ironically, conditions are even harsher than at the neighbouring spot with the daunting name. There are scores of large rocks at the launch and a harbour-wall to the left, where you’ll soon end up if you wipe-out or break something. The waves organise themselves to the right at 'Cap Nègre’. But do glance down at the rocks from time to time whilst riding, and keep an eye on everyone else – this place gets busy, fast!
