La Favière

Many beaches along the Côte d’Azur are radical breaks in strong winter easterlies. That’s true of the two sandy beaches of 'La Favière' and 'Le Lavandou' too, where onshore east to cross-onshore north-easterly wind sometimes deliver really big waves. Windswell builds particularly quick below the harbour of Bormes-les-Mimosas, just beware of of the prominent T-shaped breakwater downwind! At both spots, the closer you get to the beach, the more you’ll notice the shorebreak and buffer effect – so don’t milk your wave down to the very last turn. In summer, La Favière is also a popular beginner windsurfing spot.
