La Murtra

The naturist hide-out of La Murtra is the first beach south of Barcelona. It’s an alternative for locals when 'Castelldefels' gets too crowded in the summer, or if the Levante is blowing slightly northerly. South-westerly Garbí means flat water, whereas strong Levante can bring nice waves. Since the coastline turns slightly north here, the east-north-easterly Levante blows in better than at 'Castelldefels'. Park between the two campsites at the rivermouth, just 600m from the airport. Kiting is banned from June to September, although it is tolerated as long as you don’t disturb the nudists!
