The large sandy bay of Longeville-sur-Mer hosts this area's official summer kite zone. The thermal starts early here – initially from the south-west, veering north-westerly. Low tide's not really suited to beginners as there are so many rocks and a relatively small channel to get out. The drive in is via a beautiful shady forest.
