This freeride / beginner venue in 'Baie de la Somme’ only floods at high tide. Kiters ride to the right of the launch, windsurfers to the left. North-westerly thermals blow cross-shore, but the ideal wind's still south-westerly as northerly and southerly are both very gusty. Stay out of the middle of the bay on an ebb tide. To the north is a nature reserve – and so close to Paris this whole area gets pretty crowded in summer, especially at the weekend.
