Le Dossen

Easily one of Northern Finistère’s best wave spots. Intermediates should cope in the right-hand side of the bay where waves are mostly moderate. It’s a different story to the left of the rocks at 'La Rivière’: the waves are much bigger, more powerful and hollow – an expert’s delight in a decent groundswell. Several rocks, but they're all clearly visible. Best waves on a flooding tide; best wind south to south-westerly – stick to low tide in a westerly as it's blocked close inshore at high tide. Freeride days are also possible in lighter north-easterlies.
