Le Penon, Seignosse
Nouvelle-Aquitaine
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
By the time you get to Seignosse, you're truly in the realm of surfers whose strength in numbers entitles them to call this place theirs. On strong wind days natural selection solves the problem, otherwise you should make certain compromises as the Basque aren't so well-known for their flexibility! Penon is one of this area’s finest breaks for frontside waveriding. The north-westerly thermal blows consistently in the late afternoon, although unfortunately it seriously weakens as the tide ebbs. Sandbanks also occasionally form standing-depth lagoons here. Surfers aside, it’s rarely too busy on the water because of a pretty gruelling walk over the dunes.
