Lignano & Alla Sacca

Veneto & Golfo di Venezia

Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:

Although not an option in summer, out of season Lignano is the first spot many people hit when the Bora’s blowing. Even in winter, you’ll always find a few kindred spirits here (as well as open restaurants). What’s more, there are very consistent winds and decent jump-ramps near the beach. The biggest days happen in south to south-westerly storms – it can even get 3m-high. When the Bora eases off, or in moderate south to south-westerly, there are relaxed freestyle conditions on offer too. Just be careful of the long jetties, although the space between them is usually comfortable enough. Park at the basketball court in the 'Pineta’ quarter or at 'Villa della Dune’ (at 'Saecco 8’). The kite scene meets a bit further up this long sandy beach at 'Alla Sacca’.

Im Sommer ein No-Go, aber in der Nebensaison ist Lignano für viele die erste Anlaufstelle, wenn die Bora bläst.
