Lo Pagán, El Molino

El Molino, east of Lo Pagán marina, is a very versatile spot with a wide sandy beach, loads of room, and a big standing-depth area. It’s most popular in offshore north-easterly Levante, when the super-flat water's perfect for freestyle. Westerly Poniente and strong cross-on southerly Leveche also blow in well. If it gets too crowded for kiting, follow the promenade 2km south to launch near the second windmill. As throughout Mar Menor, harmless jellyfish bloom in high summer – locals call them 'huevos fritos': "fried eggs"!
