Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
The long beach by the golf course between Guadalmar and Los Álamos is a popular local's thermal spot. In spring and summer the afternoon Poniente (aided by a southerly sea breeze) regularly hits 15 to 20 knots, even if there's barely a breath elsewhere. But towards evening the wind turns gusty and offshore, so you need to be careful not to drift off. Despite 'chiringuitos' and sunloungers, there’s enough room to launch and an official kite zone. There can be up to 40 kites here on a good day. It’s a fair walk in from the car-park, which is why most windsurfers prefer 'Playamar'. There's a better chance of keeping an eye on your car there too!
