This adaptable venue works almost year-round in a broad range of wind directions. Only winter northerlies and westerly Poniente don’t blow in so well, when you’re better off further south at La Manga. Local amenities are excellent with a kite school, kite zone and 'chiringuito' beach-bar. The launch is sand and silt, and it’s deeper than usual on Mar Menor. If you still need to walk upwind, you might be better off in boots due to the mussels.
