Malfalcu

Malfalcu in the Désert des Agriates is only accessible by four-wheel-drive vehicle. Take the D81 past 'Saint Florent’, turn left at 'Bocca di Vezzu’ then follow a gravel track for 15km to the bay. This tedious journey ensures there’s seldom anyone on the water. Decent waves can develop when it really blows. The water often stays flat despite strong winds, yet its seclusion and an offshore wind mean this isn't exactly a safe spot. The beach is very narrow and there’s a huge lump of rock bang in the middle. Still, it’s worth getting out to this remote area just for the scenery.
