Marina di Ravenna

When strong north-easterly Bora is raging, Marina di Ravenna is the best spot in Emilia Romagna. A 1.5km-long jetty arranges the waves nicely, producing excellent conditions in cross-on wind from the left. As it’s always slightly onshore, even if your kit breaks you won’t have any safety worries here. The long, sandy beaches are very crowded in summer and the nightlife everywhere starts at 'happy hour’. Just 10km away, Ravenna's World Heritage Centre of Historical Architecture offers an interesting diversion from the hedonism.
