Popular for kiting and freestyle windsurfing, a large sandy beach and shallow water make Minnis ideal for beginners too. With short chop at worst, just watch out for the musselbeds. Gusty but sailable in a south-westerly wind, Minnis comes into its own in north-westerly. Park by the sailing club, but avoid high tide as what little beach remains is separated by concrete groynes and covered with tourists in summertime.
