Misiego, Ría de Rodiles

The standing-depth Ría de Villaviciosa is windsurfable for four hours around high tide from 'Playa Misiego’ or 'Playa Puntal’, although both beaches are too small for kiting. They're good for beginners too, just be aware of the tidal current pulling into the channel. East of the estuary, the popular surfing break of 'Rodiles' delivers clean left-handers. Sadly, a headland blocks north-easterlies – while other wind directions don't work. It’s unlikely a sail or kite would be all that welcome at the peak anyway.
