Nieblum, Föhr

The beach below town is only sailable for about six hours a day. Good timing is essential, but it's worth setting your watch for as the tide flows gently through the basin so there's not much current – perfect for teaching. Westerly winds are most common, but anything without any north in it is good. Nieblum is very comfy with parking at the beach plus showers and toilets. Official kite and windsurf zones only come into force if there are 20 riders or more, just keep clear of the beachgoers to the east.
