Niton
Isle of Wight
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
Way down south, Niton Undercliff is the Isle's headline wavesailing spot. The waves break on a point beneath the lighthouse and can be superb in a decent swell. Best in west-south-westerly winds on an ebb tide, although major currents mean it's experts only – if anything breaks, you’ll soon end up round the corner starting your Wight circumnavigation. Parking's seriously limited – there’s only space for six cars, otherwise you'll need to walk down the lane from the road above. And even then, the launch is tight too with just a 5m channel in the rocks to sail out through.
