Right in front of Oostmahorn village there's another Lauwersmeer spot with trouble-free parking, a few cafés, and even showers. Conditions are similar to 'Lauwersoog', except that northerly and southerly blow cross-shore here – onshore easterlies are choppy. Beginners will appreciate 50m of standing-depth water close inshore.
