Kiters don't stand a chance among all the parasols and boats around here. But windsurfers can grab a few runs on big kit, blasting past the gardens and tangerine groves – plus Kos silhouetted against the horizon. Outside, the wind turns more westerly because of the mountains. Near the beach there are plenty of bars, cafés, tea rooms and restaurants.
