Warm, standing-depth water and consistent winds make this lagoon an inside tip for kiting, although it’s best visited out of season to avoid the hordes of swimmers in summer. Works best at high tide as it dries out in places at low. It’s also worth coming for the exotic scenery, especially the red sand-dunes and imposing cliffs that form a natural gateway to the open sea. In the evening, fishermen grill their day’s catch for just a few dirhams.
