Oued Aliane

Morocco’s northernmost spot lies between Tangier and Ceuta. Apart from the slightly shabby Hotel Tarifa, an undeveloped landscape and clean water make Oued Aliane one of the area’s most beautiful beaches. It doesn't attract many swimmers though, even in summer, as there's always some current in the Strait of Gibraltar and the water's 5°C colder than on the Atlantic coast. Just a handful of kiters and windsurfers ride here too. Rocky ridges extend out to sea from either end of the beach, but they're clearly visible towards low tide.
