The beach of Peñarronda gets very broad at low tide and is especially popular with surfers and kite buggy riders. Only rarely does anyone windsurf here, as it’s such a long way to the water and north-easterly wind is even lighter than further east. The weird rock in the middle of the beach is eye-catching, but can pose a risk in the current at high tide. Very good water quality.
