Perran Sands

Like Watergate, Perran Sands catches any swell in Cornwall, although it does max out quite easily. Once the waves are overhead there are also strong rips; obviously great for surfers, but it’s increasingly popular with kiters and windsurfers too. It can be a pretty heavy wave and hard to ride well, especially at it's cleanest from low to mid-tide. Definitely one for the physically fit as the long post-session walk back up the cliff and through the sand-dunes is a killer! Never fly your kite near the dunes as the super-gusty winds have caused incidents.
