The wide bay of Phalasarna mutates in to a thoroughbred wave spot in strong southerly winds during winter. The panoramic view is spectacular driving down the winding mountain road from Platanos to this fine white sandy beach. However, in summer it's overflowing with parasols, kiting is banned, and windsurfers make their way to 'Limeniskos' instead to launch beside the small harbour.
