An excellent storm-beach in low-pressure south-west to westerlies (cross to cross-on) with big swell. A protected location means it only gets mid-sized waves, but they’re still very potent – it's just a shame it doesn't work so often. At high tide the waves break near the beach with some shorebreak. Summer north-easterly blows gusty over land, but this beautiful, clean beach is full of sunbathers then anyway.
