Playa Honda

Conditions are very similar on the water at Playa Honda, just don't get too close to the adjacent airport with a kite. Like 'Matagorda', this is another one for beginners and improvers as a sandy headland means there's always land downwind in prevailing north-easterly Passat. Occasionally a northerly wind blows down from the mountains. The neighbouring bay of 'La Concha' to the east is a real treat for freestylers who ride parallel to shore towards 'El Cable' on mirror-flat water. In big swell, windsurfers head for the end of the runway where a really clean little wave wraps around the point.
