Just across the creek from Brightlingsea, Point Clear is a popular high tide spot. Windsurfers can find ramps outside the point for fun jumping or stay inside Ray Creek for super-flat water. Kiters also ride the flooded marshland on high tides, although as it's a bird sanctuary they're not really supposed to!
