Ponzos

Lush green cliffs plummet into the ocean here, but they’re not Ponzos’ only asset – this place is a great wave all-rounder. Summertime east to north-easterlies deliver beautiful conditions for starboard-tack jumping in mid-size waves. If it’s the opposite with low-pressure west to south-westerly wind, waves of up to 4m are good for frontside riding. It's one to avoid at high tide though, as the waves break too close to the beach and big swell produces a hefty shorebreak. To the left is a very shallow reef – easy to locate by the white-water and current.
