Poole Harbour - Shore Road

English Channel

Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:

The world’s second largest natural harbour is probably Britain’s most sailed venue, offering four spots to suit all wind directions. 'Evening Hill' at the foot of its namesake is great for west to northerly winds. The Harbour’s only sandy beach at 'Shore Road' is the favoured kite launch – its flat, shallow waters hosting most of the local schools. 'Banks Road' on the Sandbanks side is best in west to south-westerlies. Or near town on the north bank follow signs to Poole Lifting Bridge for 'Hamworthy Park', a flat to choppy south-facing spot that works in south-east to north-westerly winds.
