Portonovo

Portonovo’s a real gem; white rocks, crystal-clear water, a rocky ledge in the water, all surrounded by the luscious green 'Parco del Cònero’. Here on the Cape of Monte Cònero, southerly winds get accelerated beyond 20 knots, especially in spring and summer – ideal for freeride and freestyle. But if the wind blows due southerly, the current can get strong. 'PWB-Club’ is the meeting place for the region’s windsurfers. Sorry, no kitesurfing! The 'bagno' has parking, but it gets crowded fast on summer weekends. Plus two restaurants serve delicious fish all year long.
