One of the best sandbar wavesailing spots in Europe, Praa’s solid waves are only really approachable up to logo-high – breaking in knee-deep water, any bigger and the fast, close-out barrel just gets too brutal. It works on both tacks, wind from the left having most potential when a S swell coincides with (albeit gusty) east to south-easterly wind. Best ridden at low to mid-tide, although there’s no avoiding the ferocious currents – never venture out alone here.
