On a good day, the waves at Punta Paloma (which the locals also call 'Secret Spot’) rate among this region’s best. Three points count against it though. Firstly, those good days are rare, as big Atlantic swell and Levante don’t coincide very often. Secondly, it’s a 1km walk through dunes to the water. And finally, the launch is rocky and the reef’s barely submerged.
