Redcar
East & North-East England
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
North Yorkshire's most popular spot can attract 30+ riders on a good day, yet Redcar's long 'Majuba Beach' never feels crowded. Just beware of the rock reefs to the east that expose at low tide. Good for a broad range of directions, the cleanest wind blows below mid-tide, although strong northerlies can prove too much. In which case, head west to 'The Gare' where a pebble spit and reef protects dead flat water, with waves peeling around the headland. In southerlies, kiters ride the generally flat, shallow waters inside the industrial Tees Estuary at 'Paddy's Hole' and 'Seaton Carew'.
