Rhosneigr

Wales & Bristol Channel

Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:

Divided by rocks, Rhosneigr’s two sandy bays have long been popular amongst northern English and Welsh riders. Although the bays appear fairly protected, they actually pick up loads of swell and can produce perfect sideshore waveriding conditions in south to south-westerly winds. There can be a fairly strong rip at the southern end of the beach where there are also submerged rocks, so it’s best to stay well clear if you value your kit. Parking is on the beach, but as it’s such a popular location, spaces are scarce on good days. In lighter winds, Rhosneigr is beginner-friendly – the nearby lake 'Llyn Maelog' is perfect for those very early stages. If there’s no breeze, there’s always the chance of good surfing conditions . or if all else fails, it's a short walk to the pubs and shops in town!
