Behind the giant Liencres dunes, high tide fills a perfect freestyle and beginner venue. Even when it’s really windy there’s only minimal chop across a huge standing-depth area over a sandy seabed. There’s plenty of room for launching and even some grass for rigging-up on. There are a few obvious rocks on the beach, and large parts of the estuary run dry as the water recedes towards low tide.
