Rostro

Rías Altas, Galicia

Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:

Like most beaches on Cape Finisterre, Rostro is untouched by tourism. No wonder, as you’re literally “at the end of the world” here. This break regularly works in spring and summer with typically cross-shore north-easterly wind, when its exposed location means waves soon hit 3m plus. The really big days come in autumn and winter (with NW swell and south-westerly wind) although conditions all-too-quickly become unrideable. Even though the wind is more consistent further south, the best launch is at the northern end of the beach, where north-easterly doesn’t blow as onshore and there's more space around the rocks. Strong current: experts only.

Wie die meisten Strände am Cabo Finisterre wird auch Rostro von Touristen verschont. Hier ist man wirklich am Ende der Welt.
